The England Trip -- Ann's
Graduation, the view from outside
OK -- here's a refresher on how the Sheldonian hall looks.
I show this again since we got to see this view rather a lot
during the ceremony...
But before that, we had lunch in the Octagon Room at
Hertford College:
Where, to distract the kids, we gave them food, paper, and
writing utensils. (Not in that order, though.) Joseph is
obviously commenting on Margaret's artwork here. While
Margaret's being very focused...
But then, in the theory that we'd get to see Ann process
to the graduation from her college, we went outside. Bad
idea. Here's Margaret outside in the cold utterly refusing
all requests from Aunts and Uncles to put on a coat. (But, as
we kept hearing, she wasn't cold.)
But the kids did get to spend some quality time with Uncle
John...
And while Margaret decided to climb on the scaffolding by
Uncle Steve, Joseph got to play with Dad's camera...
But it wasn't all just fun and games...
Our wait was rewarded with a quick glimpse of Ann while
she scurried around through the various bits of the ceremony.
Yeah, she's the fuzzy one second from the end.
But then it was back to the phone booth.
However, the ceremony ended, and we got to meet for the
now-traditional post-graduation
photo shoot.
